On 18 Agust 1920 the State of Tenessee recogniset the right of women to vote. But There was a collapse of the US Stock Excharge and a world economic crisis.

It was the "jazz age", and films were black and white, and silent. Felix the Cat was the most popular cartoon character. Women wore short straight dresses and they started smoking and drinking in public.

The radio was the most important invention of the that time. It helped to spread jazz. Ganster like Al Capone appeared: They sold liquor, wich was forbidden.
